Recording Authorization

The UPA is introducing new photography procedures for the 2006 UPA Club Championships. We are hoping that these new procedures will address past issues and make images more readily available for Ultimate fans everywhere to view. Please review the changes in the following files. In order to receive permission to take pictures at the 2006 UPA Club Championships, the 2006 UPA Recording Authorization Agreement must be completed and turned into the UPA. If a photographer plans on using the images for commercial purposes of any kind, both the 2006 UPA Recording Authorization Agreement AND Attachment A must be completed and turned in:

The UPA, as promoter, organizer and sponsor the 2006 UPA Club Ultimate Championship has the exclusive right to control all photography, video and audio recordings of the event and the exclusive right to the publication, reproduction and distribution of such recordings.

It is and always has been the UPA's policy that any individuals taking photographs or making audio or video recordings for commercial purposes at Events must obtain the UPA's prior written authorization. Anyone wishing to record the event, should get and complete a Recording Authorization Agreement from Ryan John, UPA Director of Media and Communications in order to receive a media authorization credential for the event.

Note: Family and friends may record events for personal use, but may not reproduce these recordings for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the UPA. Anyone recording the events, including those recording for a noncommercial purpose, may be asked to execute the Recording Authorization Agreement.
