2009 UPA Grand Masters and Masters Women's Championships

Qualifiers:

6 (minimum) Grand Masters Open teams (40yrs+)
6 (minimum) Masters Women's teams (30yrs+)

The goal of this event is to provide national level competition for players over 40 and for women players over 30.  The event will also be used to assess continued demand for these divisions of play and serve as a starting point for determining future playing opportunities.  The UPA Grand Masters and Women’s Masters Championships features players and teams from across the United States and Canada.

The size of the event may be variable, depending on interest. Each of the two divisions (Grand Masters and Masters Women’s) must have a minimum of 6 teams. There would be a minimum of 6 teams (~100+ players) if only one division met the minimum criteria, or 12 teams (200+ players) if both met the minimum criteria. The maximum number of teams that the UPA would accept in both division total will be dependent on the flexibility of the field site and the interest expressed by teams through pre-registration.
